Tasting Notes

The nose shows bright citrus, lemon cream, orange and fresh sage. The palate is intense and shows great complexity with surprising richness and unctuous texture.

Production Notes
2019 Vintage Notes: After five warmer vintages in a row, 2019 provided some challenges typically associated with growing grapes in a cool viticultural climate like the Willamette Valley. A cool weather pattern that began in September ushered in one of the coldest Octobers in a long time. While September had more rainfall than normal, October was moderately dry allowing winemakers time to wait for ripeness to occur. This was one of the coolest endings to a vintage in roughly 30 years. Thoughtful planning and timely picking decisions were critical; resulting in wines with lower alcohols but more brightness and life. Winemakers that kept their discipline and nerve throughout harvest will be rewarded with truly elegant, lovely wines from the 2019 vintage.
