2024 Coast Range Estate Dry Riesling

2024 Coast Range Estate Dry Riesling

Tasting Notes

The nose immediately presents a distinct minerality of crushed stone, green apple and meyer lemons. The palate is dry and focused with pronounced sea breeze and salted lemon curd notes.

Production Notes
2024 Vintage Notes: A wetter than average winter in 2024 ensured good soil moisture for the dry-farmed vineyards of Trisaetum. Bud break occurred in early April, and with cool temps, flowering didn’t peak until mid-June. Plenty of sunshine and warmth through the summer months produced strong growth and set us up nicely for a classic September/October harvest window. Clusters were smaller than usual leading to excellent concentration of flavors, but smaller yields than we would hope for. The first pick of sparkling grapes occurred under sunny skies on September 10th and continued until September 20th. This was followed by the first picks of still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on September 22nd. Picking of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay continued under dry days and pleasant temperatures until October 7th. Finally, the 2024 harvest ended with Riesling grapes being picked from October 8th through October 13th. A harvest predominantly in t-shirts and shorts made for a very enjoyable 33 days of picking. Classic growing conditions in the Willamette Valley, smaller clusters and plenty of dry days during harvest produced very expressive wines with lovely balance.
