2016 Proprietary Red
Opens with a deep garnet-purple color and wonderfully expressive notes of fresh blackberry fruit, tobacco, espresso, and loamy soil undertones. Comprised of 58% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Petit Verdot from the Walla Walla Valley AVA, the wine is not surprisingly quite multi-layered with warm plums, licorice and violets all framed within firm, ripe medium-grained tannins. Though approachable now, this wine will reward 3-5 years of aging for its myriad subtle notes to blossom before drinking over the next 15-20 years.
