Library Release
Tasting Notes
From one of the classic cool vintages of Oregon, this wine shows elegance, nuance and a level of complexity you only find with extremely long hang-times in the vineyard.
Vineyards
This was the first vintage of our Family Reserve Pinot Noir and is a blend of grapes sourced from two of our estate vineyards.
Coast Range Vineyard
45 million year old mix of marine sediments and intrusive basalt flows in the foothills of the Coast Range mountains
Ribbon Ridge Vineyard
40 million year old high-quartz marine sandstones in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA
Vintage Notes
The latest harvest ever for Trisaetum with the picking of Pinot Noir beginning in mid-October and not finishing until early November. The cool 2011 growing season was highlighted by a remarkably dry October, lower yields, and some of the longest hang times we've witnessed with Pinot Noir. The resulting wines are a terrific mix of lower alcohol levels, higher acidity, and great complexity.
